Philosophy ~ Guy Grossi

The Grossi name has become synonymous with the celebration of fine Italian food and culture, wine and convivial company. We endeavour to share and promote the true pleasures of the Italian table in aesthetically inspiring ways, both locally and through several broader, associated projects, and are delighted to have become globally recognised for doing what we love most.

We like — in fact, we live — to offer all those we meet the unique Grossi experience of food culture and its associated joys. I’ve always said that once you get involved with food, your mind never really switches off from it. Our passion is steeped in a food heritage that stretches back to the days at the family table, where loved ones would gather to wine, dine, laugh, share life, and break bread together. Food has always been revered as much more than sustenance in the Grossi family. It is a way of life.

Exceptional food experiences begin with extracting natural flavours from exceptional produce. A love and respect for the planet and its people was embedded in our core beliefs from a young age. Watching my father pluck fresh, plump produce from the garden drove home the significance of bringing only lovingly sourced and nurtured products to our tables. Sustainable practice and the integrity of our raw produce is about appreciation and respect; it lies at the foundations of what we do today, and it ensures the longevity of our future.

I am currently involved with the Australian Marine Conservation Society to help support World Oceans Day June 8th 2009.  Are you a Sea Gardian? Please see link below to find out how you can be a sea gardian.
